Outreach support is for families who need intensive support or those unable to access the centre. Our Outreach Worker’s overall aim is to take the centre out into the community so that all families have access to the support available and are encouraged to attend the centre. The support is short term usually over 6 sessions although this can vary slightly. A plan of work will be drawn up to identify keys areas to focus on and families may be referred to other support services such as carer’s support, Homestart and local charities. Our Outreach worker provides emotional and practical support and can help parents/carers to complete forms, apply for grants, provide Foodbank referrals, help families apply for FEET funding and find childcare, offer support to engage in education, training or employment and provide parenting support. Please see our referral section if you wish to refer a family.
